Intro

Exiles has its own custom system for death & respawning.

Some of these rules may seem harsh but we feel a bit of risk is necessary for a more fun and immersive experience.

Corpse Drops (This feature has been disabled as of Dec 2018)

Because of the abundance of interesting and powerful magical artifacts we have opted to make it possible to lose items if you make the wrong choices.

When you die you will always drop the following to a corpse object:

  • 1/2 of gold
  • 1/3 of equipped items
  • 1/4 of inventory items

Because of the abundance of interesting and powerful magical artifacts we have opted to make it possible to lose items if you make the wrong choices.

These items can be recovered after resurrection/respawn or returned to you by a friend.

Death Points (This feature has been disabled as of Dec 2018)

You will gain 3 death points for each death, and 4 death points for each respawn.

Each stacked death point will apply a temporary decrease to your physical ability points.

You will heal death points at a rate of one per 9 minutes (RL).

As these death points are depleted your ability scores will slowly be returned to normal.
